Country Forwards

Post by claire » Tue Dec 23, 2008 5:19 pm

"Thinkin' 'Bout the Wedding Night" and "Do It Again" were forwarded to this listing. Merry Christmas!ClaireS081203COCONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS in the range of Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, etc. are sought after by an Independent Nashville Publisher, for pitching to prominent female and male artists. Songs with amazingly strong story lines, imagery and overall excellence in craft are what's needed here. Melodic hooks that grab and catch the listener instantly, with commercial appeal that also presents something different/unique/special. These songs can be appropriate for both female and male artists, with a range of lyric tone/attitude presented. Country/Pop songs will be considered as well as really solid Contemporary Country and/or Neo-Traditional songs. Nothing too traditional, please, but a lean in that direction is just fine. All tempos will be considered. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than December 3, 2008. TAXI #S081203CO

Every so often a couple get through. "Wedding Night" gets through more often than any of the other songs. Most reviewers like it and it's very comfortably contemporary country. "Do It Again" sounds like the sequel to "Wedding Night"! The lyrics to "Wedding Night" consistently get a 10 rating.http://www.taximusic.com/stream/169377/ ... gNight.mp3
