Country Rock Instrumental

Post by KentB » Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:19 pm

Hi Guys,

Just curious to get any feedback on what I've done with this tune so far. Is it anywhere near to being on the right track? Is the production quality anywhere near where it needs to be. If not, any suggestions?

Thanks so much! :)

COUNTRY/ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a European Music Library that's looking for a bunch of music in this style!

NOTE: We recently ran this request as a TAXI Dispatch Listing (TAXI #D191209CR ), but the company didn’t get enough material and asked us to run this request to our full membership to see if we could find them even more. If you submitted to TAXI #D191209CR, please submit different material this time around!

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that would fit well on a playlist with the following references:

“Somethin' Bad” by Miranda Lambert ft. Carrie Underwood

"Love You Too Late" by Cole Swindell

"Good Vibes" by Chris Janson

Although the references have vocals, this request is for Instrumentals only.

Please submit well-produced Country Instrumentals (not Cues) with a distinct Country Rock sound and style. Your submissions should be rhythmically and melodically appealing from beginning to end, with instrumentation that’s typically heard in the Country genre.

You seem to be headed in the right direction...
The Lambart Ala is focused on the drums, you are focused on the guitar
Her mix is spread out side to side with the drums centered
Your mix sounds right down the middle
Her guitars are pretty tight, your guitar and bass sound a bit sloppy.
I think you should put a lot more serious work into it, track until you are tight

Hi. Thanks so much for the feedback! I agree totally about everything. I was thinking the drums needed alot more "umph" and maybe some hand claps. One of my weaknesses I think is mixing and to tell you the truth I forgot to even pay attention to the panning. So your point about that is really helpful.

Thanks again! Have a great day :)
