Creating loops....

Post by CHuckmott » Fri Oct 11, 2013 6:09 am

IS there a way to creat loop versions of your tracks in Pro Tools, say a chorus that loops over and over, or is it necessary to just loop your track over and over in a specific track to whatever length you feel appropriate. trying to create some shorter lopp versions of say, just b section, for some of the RF sites I'm in. Seems like I recall there was a way to create a track so that it loops over and over as partof playback or am I wrong?

I don't know 'bout ProTools, but Sony Acid and Ableton Live do loop-based production very well.

Actually other then pasting a loop over and over in your daw, create a loop that somehow plays endlessly until you shut it off ? Probably doesn't exist and a silly question. Idea was to create some as alternates to sell in a RF site.

Maybe I'm not understanding something. Is RF 'royalty free'?

The only way I could perceive a loop running over and over again is that if it were programmed into the widget that someone listens to on the site. But if someone purchased a loop it should only loop once and they would control how many times the loop looped.

I gotcha. They do it from within their program. nce we record the loop unless we loop it multiple times and output it we have no control over it.

Ableton gives you the feel in your session View that automatically lets you capture your performance or add movement to your loops. Use curves to make automation more musical. I have been working with this program since Ableton 4. Wow ...
