Crime Drama - on the right track?
Turns out, I don't watch CSI nor 24, but have been catching up on some episodes over the past couple of days. I'm trying to understand the vibe. I wrote this tonight and before I go any further wanted to see if you think I'm on the right track here. Is this too spacey and ambient as a background. I was going to try to layer some orchestra behind it to add more of the mystery/drama.Too much going on, to little, is this even the right vibe? Any thoughts would be appreciated.Oh yeah, And I'm assuming that 60 seconds means that the very last of the reverb tail needs to end at exactly 60 seconds right? Bryan, i think you got it right here. Dont watch much CSI, but it definitely vibes along that vein of sound imo.I dont really like the kick, which is STRICTLY preferential mind you... I didnt think it blended all that well with the electronica and such, some cool layers might add some interesting textures and effects to the kick too. Great work!`J

Man Kel you made my night. I just listened to it again after walking away for some hours. It did come out pretty good. So happy I got the right vibe going. I wasn't sure if it was to trippy, but from the few shows I've seen, that's what they gave me. Thanks for the encouragement, I'll keep this in the "to be finished pile".B

Thanks Southpaw,That bass drum was never intended to stay, I was just trying to find a groove in the bottom. You're right, there are things to be done there. Thanks!B
