CSI, House listing
What do you think they are after exactly? Spare music with strings and piano? I think House uses a lot of piano. Or should it be more orchestral/electronic? What would you send? My head really spins around for this listing. Thanks for any suggestions! DRAMATIC SCIENTIFIC/INVESTIGATIVE INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Production Music Library/Publisher that focuses on placing music in video games, interactive web sites, etc. They are looking for moody, dark, suspenseful, mysterious, revealing, dramatic instrumentals in the vein of CSI Las Vegas, House, etc. They are pretty open stylistically, but should convey the moods described here.

Time to crank up the TV and spend some quality time watching the "a la" shows! Also, a DVR is your friend, if you have one!! These shows have a definite style and vibe and you should be able to figure it out pretty easily, given the other stuff of yours I've heard.Go for it!!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Hi,Speaking of DVR's-- one screener gave me an excellent suggestion. Tape the show- then turn down the volume and sync your music to the show or play it with the scene.... Bob

Well, the problem is that neither House or CSI airs in Sweden at this moment. We have CSI and CSI NY now.

I was thinking in the lines of these clips: http://youtube.com/watch?v=3KjlTzG3vi4 (house)http://youtube.com/watch?v=k0ImNuhPadw (CSI)I don't think the "house" main theme is dark enough? "They are looking for moody, dark, suspenseful, mysterious, revealing, dramatic.."

You guys don't know Massive Attack's Teardrop? Man that song kicks ass, it was used for the Assassinations Creed ad for t.v. That song is sooo sick it works for most things....It's hard to get a definite vibe because they use a lot of different types of tracks, but I would say ur best bet like Mazz said is to try and watch video clips if you can, that'll help you A LOT....Take CareB

I don't know how universal the selections on iTunes are but CSI episodes are available for download. It's $1.99 US. I didn't find "House" but I didn't look too hard either.
