Re: Dance tune (?) - "It's Just Not Fair"
Wow gang, I'm feeling blessed with all this great feedback. Thanks for the awesome diagnostic tt, I'm firmly moving from "neat concept" to "could be a real song" with the input here. I'm printing this out and handing to my friend Carlos....he'll be delighted to hear his found the right path. And when Barry says to do something, I'm going to do it. Thanks again my good man! You've proven (once more) that "There's no charge for awesomeness!"

Hi,I'm with Barry on this isn't my genre, but as said above I see where this could go. I like the melody and the chorus idea and that's cool that it started out on acoustic too! I also like what Vince said about the contrast of pulling things in and out, as I've noticed that since most electronic tracks don't have a "live" feel they add excitment this way. And I think the BPM is good. Best of luck on the final version!

Hey DevinIMHO I really think this one may be worth tweaking. I think the tempo is just fine for the pop-trance thing. I also think tt’s post was spot on.I did feel though that the bass was too hot vs the kick (kick up, in fact all drums up) and the hats starting with 16s didn’t work for me. Often the hats in these tracks start with crisp 4s following the bass and get busier as the song progresses. If you wanted some ideas of similar tracks for comparison, I’d like to suggest Be As One by Sasha and Maria, Rapture by Iio or maybe Dreaming by BT. They’re pretty old tracks but may give you some production/mix tips, especially regarding filtering (which is ubiquitous in this genre) and vocal manipulation (slicing/dicing).I also thought I’d heard some pitch issues with the vocal. All meant with great respect. As I said, I think this one is worth a bit of work!Happy Christmas.Liam
