The best DAW is the one you know. CBB is a no brainer for anyone who grew up with Sonar as it's free, and fully featured.jwamusic wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 9:07 amI too am a Cakewalk/Sonar user. I have used ProTools a bit, but not extensively. When I first switched from recording on tape (Tascam 85-16B 1" 16 track) to DAW in 1999 I started out using TwelveTones Cakewalk ProAudio 6. I went through about 10 versions and am now using BandLab Cakewalk. There are probably better DAWs out there, but familiarity is my reason for staying with Cakewalk. Plus, I bought me a Sonar V-Studio console Vs-700C by Roland about 10 years ago and I doubt it will work with other DAWs. I love working with a controller. It has a learning curve, but is much better than working with strictly a mouse.
