the shortest song I've ever written (if it can even be called a song!). Everytime I saw Tony Hayward on the tube he seemed to be smiling which really bugged me. Then the news of saving dough with "B" stock parts, Then the news that he and BP top dogs had known there was a problem weeks before the explosion, then the photos of him last week out yachting . . .
The final straw was the "PR" move to appoint a spokesperson with a southern accent from Mississippi, like we're all stupid enough to feel better now.
"well garlee, i rekin' he really duz care" http://www.billgaunce.com/song/0
Dear Mr. Hayward

Re: Dear Mr. Hayward
Nice, Bill. Music can say a lot.
I think a song like this could be written countless ways to fit all the people and situations causing harm to the world.

Re: Dear Mr. Hayward
I suppose a line like "sleeping with the fishes" could be misconstrued, if you suggested how he might deserve to sleep.
