No, Michael Jackson did NOT play any instruments, other than tambourine, which anyone can slap against his leg. The video of him playing a piano NEVER shows him actually playing, his hands are never in view. This is a camera trick used all the time to make it look like people are playing. He also refused to play the piano in his house, when Martin Bashir asked him to, because it was live, and he could not fake it there. He also never wrote any music, as all music writers play at least guitar or piano. Motown is infamous for giving writing credits to people who never wrote anything, especially Berry Gordy himself, forcing Holland Dozier Holland to give him credits in many of their songs, just because he controlled the label. Jackson was given writing credits on several songs so that silly teen agers would believe the talent was coming from some one close to their age during the thriller era, instead of professional song writers doing all the real work. This was a tactic used for the purposes of selling more records, and it worked splendidly. No, Jackson wrote exactly as many songs as Presley and, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra wrote. Zero. As for the moon walk dance step everyone believes he invented, it was invented by Cab Calloway, in the 30's, and was called the back slide. In the 50's it was improved by Bill Bailey, and perfected in the 60's by Marcel Marceau and James Brown. He made millions off of the ignorance of the American teenager.
