DIDN'T EXPECT THIS ONE AT ALL!!

Post by ibanez468 » Tue Jul 22, 2008 3:33 pm

Hey Guys!Just got back from dinner at the Golden Coral. Found an unexpected surprise in my mailbox. Screener seemed ta' really like this one. I was shocked. I thought to myself: "Hey, I finally did somethin' right for a change!" Screener must be familiar with Chi-Town "hot mixes". Got all 9's. That's a first! DANCE/ELECTRONICA INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Leading Video Game Developer of DS and Wii game titles. They are hoping to expand their catalog of music, and are needing a wide variety of Dance/Electronica Instrumentals as background music for future video games projects for the Wii game console. While the stylistic range is broad, your pieces should sound current and viable for use in a video game - tempo/tone/beat/etc.Here's what s/he said:"Great energy, and forward momentum in this song that is a necessary component for dance video games. Great intro. love the transitions, very smooth, seamless while creating a driving story line. I love how you pan out the "crinkle sound" and the strings come in at the right part. smooth!""the pace, energy, instrumentation, forward momentum, bpms, rhythm all make the song quite suitable for a dance video game.""Thank you for sharing your music, I appreciate this opportunity to screen it for you. WOW your transitions are TEXT BOOK, the great forward momentum by eliminating the blank pauses where expected, it takes a true talent to do this. Very good dynamics that give the song lift and energy. I think the mix is incredible, well done. Everything comes in and exits nicely when needed. Good repeating melody line. Creates a positive "feel good" dance groove and the melody could be easily paired and associated with a specific game. Its also great bed music for film & tv projects. Best wishes with your music! I love this song!!!!"Sound Quality: Well-recorded"Very well recorded, outstanding mix with transitions and levels!"The main reason(s) you were forwarded for this listing is:"This song takes off right out of the gate. Amazing forward momentum which is a desired groove for video games. Great choice of instrumentation. the mix is amazing, especially panning the effects. The song has great separation and smooth transitions that precise and energetic. BRAVO!"Man!! I've never had a review like that before! Made my evening. Every once in a while, I run into a string of good "LUCK"! Always "THANKFUL" for that. Gotta' print out my certificate. Electric MixI-468PS -- Submitted this very same tune to an earlier listing that was somewhat similar in description, and got the BIG [R] last week. I guess it really does depend on whether or not the tune(s) fit(s) the specifics of the listing. That one was screened on a YES/NO basis too!

Congratulations! Yeah, this screener was great, it's really nice to see that they can have really good things to say sometimes I had the same thing happen with these songs being returned from that other electronica listing, so yeah, it definitely does all depend on exactly what they're looking for.Great work!
