Instrumental
Lots of CURRENT-Sounding POP INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Major European Media Company for a variety of Non-Exclusive opportunities!

This Company is searching for of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that could be heard on a playlist with the examples below:

"Heat Waves" by Glass Animals

"Anything 4 U" by Kaleena Zanders

"Endless Summer" by Alan Walker & Zak Abel

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this request.

Please submit top-tier Pop Instrumentals that could work for a variety of sync placements! Your submissions should have catchy motifs, engaging rhythms, and dynamic arrangements with plenty of forward motion and interest. Modern Pop Instrumentation in the general ballpark of the references will work best for this listing. Your productions should be polished, and all virtual instruments or samples you use should be high-quality and not dated-sounding. If you have tracks that could add emotionally upbeat energy to whatever is on-screen, this Company would love to hear them!

Your Instrumentals should be at least 2 minutes long and no longer than 4 minutes, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will likely work best. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

Quoting the Company: “Only artists/writers affiliated with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SACEM, IMRO, APRA AMCOS, SOCAN, including all Scandinavian and Latin American PROs, are eligible to submit their music for this opportunity.”

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE deal, so you will keep 100% of all Compositions and Master Rights. You must own or control your Masters and Copyright to submit. Please send as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Hello. This just isn't here yet, my friend, Please take a listen to the 3 pop cues posted below. They have gotten placed multiple times on a few different networks, and they all use the same exact formula: Short Intro, A, A-, B, B- (Breakdown and build-up), A+, and A++ if necessary. Follow this developmental arc, and you will be half way there. The other half is finding the most current sounds for your cues, which is most difficult...because that is always changing/evolving. Listen to LOTS of pop music and LOTS of TV. Good luck in your journey.

Jeff

Thank you both for the feedback. Great tips and advice. I’ll place this one on the back burner and see if I can’t create something more in line with the sample tracks

I agree with the others, it's nothing like Pop at all - very sluggish , no energy , dated souding instruments

At its current state is seems half baked, sounds more like a type beat atm instead of a fully developed cue...besides the timing, instrumentation, vibe, and development issues previously mentioned, the mix/master also needs to be addressed. that EDM sound relies heavily on sidechaining, saturation, Multiband comp/dynamic EQing, mid/side tweaking, and filters (lofi tricks) etc...theres tons of tutorials from reknowned producers on youtube you can check out...

but dont discard this track just yet, I really like the part when the piano kicks in at the end (its catchy). would make a great intro and build an EDM banger from there using endless summer as reference (i assume you had heat waves as the ref initially)...ive seen good things happen to tracks frankensteined and take a different path in this biz so keep stuff for later use...wish you the best
