I've had alot of fun last few years simply using Windows Movie maker and Windows Live as you mentioned.
I had no dreams of perfection or being taken too seriously - in fact the ONLY reason I felt comfortable was due to the new found popularity and acceptance of the low grade 'bedroom made' video.....just figured I'd catch that bandwagon as it drove past.
Im just blending video cuts with still shots.... bit of creative thinking tossed in for good measure. PS EVERYBODY is copying the Pompaloose format so I'd stay away that but thats just me..

Re: Doing videos - how to approach it?
Thanks Mojobone and Stuart for your compliments. I have been overwhelmed by notes I receive from video watchers who were customers of Allstate until they reviewed my video and studied the links I listed.
We're very excited because we just checked on the count and we passed 5,000 hits today.
I play in NYC on Monday and Thursday nights at 2 regular open mics held at great music venues featuring awesome musicians: The Path Cafe and 78 Below.
