Hi everyone! My Name's Reuben and I found Taxi the other day on google...I've taken a peek around the site and it's pretty exciting. I can see myself becoming a member shortly.I'm a writer, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and vocalist, though my bread and butter right now is drumming.Just finishing my home studio within the next week, so I'll be able to start submitting work/shamelessly promoting myself.I notice the large majority of members are north American/Canadian... That being so if anybody intends to or is interested in touring in Australia by all means contact me and I'll put you towards the right people Cheers,Reuben.

Hey Reuben, welcome aboard. Taxi has members from all over the world, I think, and there are folks on the forum from Europe & South America... but I don't remember seeing too many from Australia. Welcome aboard!cheersHummin'bird

Hey Reuben,The first Taxi Rally I attended, one of the first people I met were three Taxi members from Australia. That was in 2004 and we've all kept in touch ever since. My wife also has a childhood penpal over there and they recently reconnected... we'll visit someday. I wanna live in Australia so I can use all the funny lingo...We say: "It hasn't rained in a while"You say: "Crikey... It's dryer than a dead dingo's donger!" Welcome to the forums... lifetime learning isn't an option. Dave

A little spelling error on Reuben's part... he meant "hizzie", a house or place to hang out.Now... somebody else handle the donger thing (that may be a bad choice of words).

A hizzay is a house. But you can only use it in certain sentences... for example;"I'm in the hizzay!""Everybody in the hizzay raise the roof!""I said the man is in the hizzay!"It would be uncommon however, to say any of the following;"She's a brick....hizzay""I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your hizzay down.""Have you seen Charlton's hizzay? Simply smashing really."A donger... that's less complex.I think you call em wangers over there. That said, thanks for the welcome...!
