Hi all!
Brand new to the forums here, hopefully I'm doing this right!
I've recently started getting into writing for licensing and I'd appreciate any feedback anyone could give me on this orchestral piece.

Re: Dramatic cue
Hi Elie,
Cool song! I'm not sure what the listing was for, but it sounds good to me. What sample library did you use for the String Section? They sounded nice. They sounded natural. My only suggestion is to automate the piano a little more in certain parts of the song. Piano can be tricky sometimes because it is such a dynamic instrument and has so many harmonics going on all the time. I struggle with compressing the Piano too much sometimes. Great song!!

Re: Dramatic cue
Hi ElieB.
Nice track and nice mood.
One thing I have learned is that even though a Cue might be well done in all matters, it has to fit the listing. So it can be hard to comment on unless you give a particular listing to evaluate your track against.
"They" also like a track to move and have themes with various instruments featured in and out. Essentially a Cue is ABA, so really there are two themes but with variations on texture.
Your ability is there. The trick is to pay attention to all the details. All the best.

Re: Dramatic cue
Hi ElieB,
This is some nice programming! Is this cue in reference to a specific search?
P.S. Loving the Thomas Newman moment at 1:09! Makes me want to hear some Ewi!

Re: Dramatic cue
Thanks you all for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
So it wasn't for a particular cue, I wanted to see if what I'm doing is somewhat "pro enough" to be submitted before working on any specific cue
MrKaplan, the strings were Symphobia for the violins and Kontakt Orchestral for the rest. And I see what you mean about the piano, it does come in and out a tad too much.
GuitarKit, thanks for the advice! I think I remember seeing/hearing that somewhere and I completely forgot about that aspect. I'm going to do some more research before actually submitting anything.
