I agree with Les. In my mind I heard the vocals come in after the first 4. May seem picky, but for me the expectation was there.

You'll have to decide that one; the Adele tune also gives me the "where's the singer?" bit of cognitive dissonance. As if the band is vamping, waiting for the singer to take the stage?

It's a Dark Ballad...Too many minor Chords in this one to be poppy & at this tempo it won't be POP...

my biggest issue with this song is that the melody isn't strong enough. you should also consider hiring a singer with a more contemporary tone in her voice, you sound more like a classic broadway singer (i assume it's you singing). you probably need to think of something that could be played on the mainstream charts, i think that's what they're looking for.

well, i don't know any taxi singers i would recommend for this song, but natalie major on soundbetter might be a fit, depending on your budget. she's also willing to sign a work-for-hire agreement without charging. at least she did for me. if you want something cheaper, you can try searching on fiverr, but you may have to look harder to find the talents.
