Awesome!!!It was very good before but now it's freakin' great!! I'd still make an alternate version with non-drug lyrics but keep that "Chimes Of Freedom" thing. But you have plenty of time to worry about that if the right opp comes up.Excellent! Casey

Crap, I've only got like 4 hrs. into writing/tracking/& recording it and about 40hrs. into trying to mix it so it sounds "60's"! How can it be so hard to mix something that's SUPPOSED to sound sooooo simple???!!!Congrats on the forwards, Bill!! You dun good with this one! I guess you need to throw away your PC/DAW, use a 4 track with analog tape, and do any splices with a scissor. Casey

This one sounds too "bright" to me and the hats are too loud & bright but I just don't have the stomach to mess with it anymore. Everytime I change one thing it seems to make everything else sound "off". I just got a chance to listen to "Everybody Wants to Get High," albeit late, and it's top notch....the production, vocals, everything. Great job, buddy.

Re: Everybody Wants To Get High
I finally score some listening time. And what a gem to find, just dead-on Byrds songwriting. Love the phrasing and all.I think the guitars are maybe over-EQd...a tad harsh and overdriven. I really think you should view it as a MANDATE to get your friend's Rick on this...the difference will freak you out, man. I also think the harp solo could use a little extra shot of reverb.Awesome track and lots of fun to listen to. In fact, I'm goin' back.-Mark

I got this email from Broadjam today. Looks like we're not the only people noticing how awesome you are pal!Quote:Broadjam staff picks: Free Songs Bill Gaunce View Artist Profile Song: Everybody Wants To Get High Location: Norfolk, Virginia, UNITED STATES Bio: The vocals capture your attention right away. The harmonies are great and are reminiscent of Tom Petty. The instrumentation of the song is great and the lyrics are poignant. It has an easy, laid back feeling. The chorus is catchy. Good, solid song. Download this song for free on BlahBlah.Usually I don't like that other company much, but today, they're OK with me!
