Glad you're enjoying Colossus. I don't have that collection specifically but I do have other EW libraries and for winds and horns, I would suggest trying to use some controller 11 for expression. You can use a controller such as the mod wheel and reassign it to output CC11 and see what instruments respond to it. I think you'll find it helps sustained sounds get a little more natural life or breath in them. Also legato phrasing is hard to attain with samples, I usually micro edit the attacks and releases after I record my track so they ever so slightly overlap. Not enough to hear two seperate pitches, which is physically impossible on a "real" instrument, but so as to blur the transitions between notes as a wind player would when playing legato.Have fun!Mazz

Mazz, you should download the sips script here for legato:http://nilsliberg.se/ksp/scripts/sips/sips.htmExcellent legato. Not quite the same as real transition samples, but it's close. Forget about microediting. And it's free. Here are some other scripts while we're on the subject:http://nilsliberg.se/ksp/scripts/scripts.html

Those are Kontakt 2 scripts, by the way. I forgot to mention that.

Right on Nick! I use Kontakt so I'll for sure check it out. Legato is the toughest beast for me to tame in virtual orchestration!Times like this are why I love this forum!!Mazz
