Daniel - thanks for those thoughts. I've added in a couple of other instruments to vary things up a bit.Dave - wow, thanks for the compliment! And the great suggestion. I've added a horn riff at the beginning and I can totally hear what you're talking about - sets the mood for the piece right off the bat.I just uploaded my revised piece. It's feeling pretty good.... am I ready to submit?http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true

This is a great bunch of pieces- nice job to all of you who have posted! Is the "one to three" mentioned in most listings more of a strong suggestion than a hard limit? I read something about someone submitting a slightly higher number than that somewhere.

The listing says "one to three" - Mazz listed 4 pieces.... not sure how he's doing that

Vikki beat me to it. I was just curious- I'm not submitting anything for this one, but something like the recent public domain Xmas listing might have tempted me to send in "one more".

As I said on another thread, often I will do the "Dispatch Challenge" because... well, I like being challenged, and also (as Squid said on the other thread), you come up with stuff you wouldn't have come up with because you jumped in the deep end, willing to try. But, at the same time, I often don't submit what I came up with because, it's not finished, or it ended up not fitting the listing. So... after staying up late and getting up early to work on this piece.... I decided to submit it just to celebrate the fact that I put it together so quickly. Can't say what will happen past this point. It may just be another "R". But just in case anyone is listening, I like "F's". "F" is my initial, see?

DOH! I submitted three last week and then decided to submit another one at the last minute today, didn't pay attention to the usual 3 song limit wording in black and white in the listing!. The submission when through, we'll see if I get my hand slapped for putting in an extra one. I've never done that before so we'll see what happens.DOH!!!Mazz
