Re: Exciting News!!! :)
Just got word from the 168 film festival. Our documentary did not win. (but it was an honor to be nominated) Better luck next time. I will let you know about Pendragon after the Bare Bones festival.~ Lydia

Re: Exciting News!!! :)
Thank you Orest! Yes, things are finally happening. That is nice! Thank you lyricboy. I attended the screening today. There were not a lot of people (maybe 30) but they were excited. (besides the one person who snored through the whole film - and I am not kidding) (he started snoring during the film before ours and kept snoring as the next started. He must have been exhausted... He slept over 3 hours just while I was in the theater...) lolI was happy to find out that the film is not only nominated for "Best Family Picture" but also "Best Period Costuming".A couple of people asked for my business card saying they would contact me about scoring their next films (woo hoo!!! I hope that really happens...) A radio show host also asked for my business card saying she wanted to do an interview (would be the first radio interview I have ever done but that sounds like fun... )Hopefully some good things come from this. I will let you know next Sunday how it went with the nominations.

Re: Exciting News!!! :)
Yesterday was the award ceremony at Bare Bones Film Festival. Nathan and I and our oldest daughter drove down to Muskogee. It was a wonderful evening and we had a great time. We got to meet with America's youngest mayor (John T. Hammons, the mayor of Muskogee, OK) as well as Jerry Maren and his lovely wife (Jerry Maren was the middle Lollipop Munchkin in Wizard of OZ. This was one of the favorite parts of the evening for my daughter.) OK... Now to the really fun part...drum roll please... Pendragon won 3 awards!!! (I didn't even know we were nominated for one of them)Pendragon won Best Family Picture, Best Period Costuming and Best Young Actor (Aaron Burns). Since Nathan and I were the only ones there from the film we received the awards on behalf of the Burns Family Studios. It was quite an experience.(Pictures coming soon on Facebook). ~ Lydia
