I listened to your song man... ...to be honest, its not my style. I hear some potential in there if possibly changing things to a slightly different direction, but as of right now, I just can't get into it. You are looking at production issues, vocal issues, and a few arrangement problems. I don't mean to sound harsh man, god knows nobody wants to hear anything negative about their art, but I feel there is some work to be done on this one. Again, its not my style, but many people are into this genre, so with some tweaking here and there you could possibly have a good tune I suppose. If you really want me to lay it out for you, from my humble point of view, I would be more than happy to. If not, we can just leave it at this song just isn't for me.Welcome to the forums by the way! I understand that people have different tastes, any suggestions on how i could mix better or anything like that go for it, as far as how it's structured and all that, it's the way it is for a certain reason, some people like it, so if others don't that's alright. you might be more into my other folk-rock project called clock skin (www.myspace.com/matthewsquiresmusic) Check out the tracks kayla, manger song, and maybe corner of the earth if you get a chance and let me know what you think. Although if the vocals are too unconventional for you, you may not like those songs much either. But I try and focus on lyrics above all else.
