Duhhh? It's just bending Paul.I've tried slide, but haven't managed to get the hang of it yet. Would love to though, especially that George Harrison sound!I tried slide with a few open tunings for another track I'm doing, but it just didn't sound good on the recording.Stephen AV gave a good suggestion for an Alvarez acoustic, but I've not managed to find a supplier in the UK.Will keep you informed!update: I just looked back on that thread Paul. Some good suggestions. That Taylor video was helpful too.Wish I could play that clean! Guess I'll just have to start visiting the music stores and trying some out.I put in a vote for Alveraz.... I've had one for 10 years.... decent for the money... ($300 or so... 10 years ago!!!)....Cool tune Dave!!!! Love your guitar sound..... you know what would be cool..... do it like one of those songs where everything drops out one at a time... end with the back beat.... could be cool.... I'm on listen 4.... really cool....Peace, Geo

I'm with yer Bill.Yeah, it could be another possibility.I'm not surprised it sounds retro after 30 years! Thanks for listening.Maybe I'll stop tweaking with it now, and see how it does with that listing.
I put the kettle on, it didn't suit me.

Just tightened up the start, so the acoustics come incloser to the drum/bass. They were slightly early, and it was bugging me.I'm not touching it anymore (for now ) unless someonespots something elsehttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=186321&stream=true.

Missed this - sorry, Dave Very cool, chill piece, like it a lot. On my fourth listen I know you're probably fed up tweaking......... but I really think the string pads are too hot. Might just be me. Also wondered why you didn't put the snare up the middle? If you did put it up the middle then I'm probably going deaf in my right ear (entirely possible ). Great stuff!

Okay!Liam, you waited 'til I said I'd finished tweakin', then you suggest more tweakin'! Now come on!! Anyone else agree on those strings and that snare?I want to get this right then sit back for that listing result.Don't mind tweaking if it needs it.Must admit I have gone back and tightened up that start yet again! I think it's spot on now! Cheers Liam!

I agree about the string patch. If it's too far forward it is recognized as a patch. It's just a bedrock that should be about half as loud as the lead git IMO.I think this is a great track for a surf movie. I don't know where you submitted, and I wish you luck, but keep in mind the surf movie angle if it ever comes up.Do they surf in England. Brrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh, cold water. Wig
