I am such a fan of Hector's music. He was so proudly outside the box. Such an original thinker. I remember the first song I heard of his just shocked me! It was completely removed from convention. It was a cold splash of water and it felt fantastic! Such an unconventional use of chords and arrangements. He swam so assuredly in his own musical universe creating these beautiful, eery, odd, moving, cerebral pieces OR celebratory pieces OR nightmare/dreamy pieces!!!!! ARGGG!!!! Obviously I knew very little of the man but if music is the window to the soul, then what a fascinating, courageous soul he must have been.

Dear Catherine - This is such a shock, and so sad. In the relatively short time Hector was involved with the Forum, he elevated the level of discourse immensely, and his generous and gentle spirit was a model for all of us. And needless to say, his enormous talent was an inspiration. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss and I wish you well in this difficult time. I hope you will consider honoring us with your continued presence here as you see fit.
