Re: FAUXMUSICSUPE!
Fauxmusicsupe is TAXI friendly, and has actually been at several Road Rallies, including the last one. Not all music supervisors use us, but many do. Unfortunately, because there are so many less than wonderful companies out there that try to imitate what we do, there are supervisors who lump all companies in our space into one basket. Many of them actually use TAXI member music that goes from us to a library to them. They just don't know that the music was originally found through TAXI, and the libraries have no reason to tell them.
We meet with supervisors quite often who really don't know exactly how we work, and when they find out that we don't take a piece of the deal, and the musicians get 100% when they work directly with us, they start running listings. One supe at a time
BTW, Chris Mollere is interviewed in Robin Frederick's book, Shortcuts to Songwriting for Film & TV. And we have had TAXI member music in Vampire Diaries.
Fauxmusicsupe is very smart, and does give the unvarnished truth. We love him for that, and hope he's back at the Rally this year. He's considered doing an interview with me, but we can't figure out a great way to keep his identity anonymous. I think he feels that a mask alone won't do it. I'll keep trying! I

How about doing a Taxi TV with him (or her because these are the days of equality) off screen. If that is not enough, just have him answer in another room, through a mic and adjust the tuning of his/her voice.admin wrote: Fauxmusicsupe is very smart, and does give the unvarnished truth.
