This Executive is on the lookout for Mid-to-Up Tempo Songs in the general wheelhouse of the following references:

"Like a Dinosaur" by Wonderpop
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5tRdYE ... derpopVEVO

"Funky Elephant Walk" by YolanDa Brown

Please submit top-notch Children's Songs that are brimming with emotionally upbeat, fun, and positive energy! Your submissions should have catchy, sing-along melodies; simple, yet well-crafted lyrics geared towards children and younger audiences (NO profanity please!); and danceable, captivating rhythms. Instrumentation in the general ballpark of the references (and others like them) will work best for this request. Please be sure your production is polished and any virtual sounds or samples you use are high-quality and modern. Top your submissions off with compelling, well-performed vocals and you could have just what this Label is looking for!

Your recording quality needs to be clean, clear, and well-balanced so that it represents your Songs well. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for texture and tone.

NOTE: We're going to be very selective when screening material for this request. This company has a high bar, and we want their first encounter with TAXI to be a very positive experience! Please submit your very best material!

The specific deal points will be handled on a case-by-case basis between you and the Label. You must own or control your Master and Composition to submit to this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022. TAXI # S221023CH

It's a cute children's song but I don't think it's good enough for the very high bar of this listing. An aside, there is a click sound at around 00:25.

Thank you, Casey. Much appreciated, as always!
"T-Rex V2" at the same link eliminates the click sound we think you were hearing, which was actually a percussive sound made by the guitar.

Michael & Sharon,

By about 12 seconds in, I'm hearing the ensemble struggle to stay together. I can't tell if it's one instrument that's out of time, or a generally "too loose" performance. I like the idea of the song, but the realization needs to be much tighter to get to the high bar as mentioned.

Interesting that the first version didn't have that issue but T-Rex V2 does.

Is it possible some of the instrument tracks accidentally moved when you fixed the click?

Oh Goodness, that's much better! :o

Fun and kid-friendly, to be sure! I'm having some difficulty making out all the lyric. Would slowing the tempo a scotch help with the diction?

Very helpful, Alan, thank you. This is the kind of thing you never realize in your own song, since you already know all the words!

The quality of the performances and production lets it down. It would probably make quite a fun kids song if done professionally but as it stands everything is just comes across too amateurish..mix / arrangement / performances / production...all just too far below the required standard.

Sorry.
