I would be thankful for feedback on my submission for this request TAXI # S210814BL
I decided to try and be a bit different while sticking to the brief (hopefully)

INSPIRING, BUILDING, ORGANIC-Based INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a very successful boutique Music Library that's distributed by Universal and has tons of credits in Big Films, Countless TV Shows, and Commercials!
Here is the concept we would like to hear in your Cues: Idea - Planning - Realization - Success. The beginning should feel intimate and personal – like it's the beginning of the process. Then your arrangement should move forward with more instrumentation to create a sense of making progress. Finally, your pieces should have a positive, inspiring conclusion."

Hey, John, I think you're very much on the right track. Two things I'd consider:
1) The refs both have much more feeling of pause between the "acts" - which also provides easier edit points. I'd consider editing with that in mind.
2) The refs both end "big". Although a calm, peaceful outro like yours could be taken as "a positive, inspiring conclusion", I'd consider ending big instead, like the refs.

What are you using for drums on this track? Some of the drum hits are up in the mix and are a bit distracting. Also, the sound of the kick drum is not quite right. Of course, that's just my opinion. If you used midi, its a very small fix. The other instruments sound very realistic.

Some random points from me:
- it feels as if the drum beat is lagging behind the rest of the music, especially early on in the song
- it seems as if the big flam snare in the break around 1:25 comes out of nowhere... like we're suddenly moving from a small club to a big stadium or something like that. That feeling is gone again when it is replaced by the floor tom after a few seconds. Consider finding a different sound for that.
- you seem to have some sort of compression issue in the section around 1:50, as if the track is pumping. Fine for an EDM track, but not for this style I think.
- I agree with the "big end" thing... the track should just stop at 2:06, skip the outtro
- You should probably do that anyway since the listing asks for "around two minutes" and submitting a 2:30 track is just BEGGING for a return
