Hi,
Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.
I just got the reminder about this listing:
A-LIST HOLLYWOOD MUSIC SUPERVISOR needs MID-to-UPTEMPO SINGER-SONGWRITER, INDIE ROCK and INDIE FOLK SONGS for a FEATURE FILM. Quoting the supervisor, "We're looking for CONTEMPORARY, EARNEST, HIP and UPBEAT SINGER-SONGWRITER and INDIE ROCK BAND SONGS." Songs can range in moods from "OPTIMISTIC to INTROSPECTIVE, to CREATIVE and INSPIRED." Some artists to get you in the ballpark: Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, Lissie... MALE and FEMALE vocals are BOTH welcome. Lyrics must be PG-rated and relatively general, broad and universal. Avoid specific names of people and brands/products. Songs should be a minimum of two minutes long. Full artist-style pieces are needed, NOT jingles or library music. Instrumentation must sound NATURAL and AUTHENTIC.
I have a song that I think could work in terms of tempo, mood and is close to some of the referenced artists styles (i.e. Ryan Adams & Pete Yorn) but would appreciate people's thoughts as to whether it's close enough. I know how specific they are. Not sure if it's "Indie" enough.
It's called "Plasticity" and is on my MySpace page, http://www.myspace.com/bobbyfingeroth
Thanks!
Bobby

Bobby... I'm not qualified to comment on this listing and your track but I do want to advise you to possibly move this to the "Peer To Peer" discussions. There's usually more traffic over there! -- Andy
