Feedback
Greeting good people of Taxi.com
I would like some feedback on an acoustic instrumental I am considering for submission. Please offer your constructive criticisms and I appreciate the time.

Re: Feedback
Hi Glen. Nice tune! Reminds me of the Shadows. All you need is a whammy bar! I think some of the drum fills are over-complicated (e.g. 0.50) for the relaxed vibe of the guitars. The timing on the strummed acoustic could be tighter in a couple of places. This would work for a Muzak-type listing. Cheers, Doug

Re: Feedback
THANKS for the feedback! I agree with the muzak type thing...as I was listening to it while producing it, I thought this would be cool to listen to in an elevator...LOL.
Thanks again for commenting.

Re: Feedback
A few suggestions to improve this song:
1. This was mentioned before, but simplify the drum fills. They do not fit with the relaxed mood of the song.
2. Re-record the bass. It could be more "in the pocket". As is, it distracts from the ryhthm of the piece rather than provide a foundation.
3. The string sound is synthetic sounding (and possibly tuned a bit flat). Invest in a good sample library such as East/West.
4. Maybe add some reverb to the lead melody and possibly EQ the lead until you get the tone that you are looking for.
Lots of potential here...especially for a MUZAK type listing. Good Luck!

Re: Feedback
wow, real nice tune ... A few tweeks and I think you got a hit ... Already mentioned.. the strings need some work but the idea is great... The drums I think might do better with a brush beat , make them a little softer .. Real nice tune though good job..

Re: Feedback-Follow-up
Greetings, great minds of Taxi forum.
Here's the re-worked version of the song "Hear me out"
http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/2765583
-I've re-worked the drums to eliminate most of the fills.
- Re-worked the bass line to not be so active
-The strings are east-west and have been re-worked
- The lead part has been tweaked with eq and reverb added to help it stand out
Please offer your thoughts..
Thanks
Glen
