Film Noir listing??? TAXI #Y120514IN

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE:
I went ahead and submitted all 3:

Aurora Borealis - http://soundcloud.com/fetalpulse/aurora-borealis
Late Night Run - http://soundcloud.com/fetalpulse/late-night-run
Cimmerian Voyage - http://soundcloud.com/fetalpulse/cimmerian_voyage
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a few tracks that I think could work based on the reference track.
However the "Film Noir" reference is throwing me off.
Anyone know what they mean by that?

Here are the 3 I'm considering:

TOP MUSIC LICENSING COMPANY U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needs SUPER COOL INSTRUMENTAL song for a TV ad for a high-end product. They're looking for DRIVING ELECTRO songs with a very SLICK and CINEMATIC sound. A great reference is:

Chromatics - Tick Of The Clock" (from 2:54 to the end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWD7k6TrJ-g

Repetition is okay as long at there are subtle and nuanced changes happening. TRACKS should have a modern day "film noir" quality and convey a sense of REFINEMENT and SOPHISTICATION. They're looking for a driving, pulsating INSTRUMENTAL that "feels like nighttime." Gotta love those Ad Men! Songs must be HIP and CONTEMPORARY. A little guitar is okay but the music should be primarily synth-based. Please do not send anything that sounds too '80s like Jan Hammer. Your TRACK should be RESERVED with some SONIC SPACE/HEAD ROOM as opposed to cluttered, layered and overdone. Like a fine wine, it needs to breathe. NO SAMPLES of other songs or artists can be incorporated into your track. As always, do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or their songs in any way, shape, or form! The ESTIMATED fee for this license is $10,000-$20,000. YOU WILL KEEP 70% of the ultimate fee, and you will NOT give up ANY of your Master, Publishing and Writer's share! You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition rights to submit for this listing. Please submit one to three songs online. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS by a person Hand-Picked by the listing company. ALL submissions must be received no later than 9:30 AM (PDT) Monday, May 14, 2012. TAXI #Y120514IN

Good spread of tracks. Cimmerion Voyage is my favourite.

I ended up submitting two mixes of the same track - one Lo-Fi. Not sure about the film noir reference in this case. Maybe they just meant something minimalistic, stoical, almost 'art-electro'. They are on my profile if you wish to hear them; ChromatoGraphic.

I guess we'll either find out because of a forward - or we'll never know :-)
