First(and hopefully not last) forward

Post by dimitry » Fri Dec 05, 2008 7:38 am

Just got a notice that one of my songs was forwarded for this opportunity.DANCE/HOUSE/CLUB SONGS WITH VOCALS a la Axwell, StoneBridge, Shapeshifters, etc. are wanted by a Music Publisher with tons of Film/TV placements. This company has fantastic relationships with music supervisors for TV shows/films on ABC, NBC, the CW, HBO, Disney, MGM, Sony, Fox, Paramount plus many others, and has already signed a dozen TAXI writers. Great performances are a must, along with lyrics that are universal enough to pitch to several different shows/storylines - male or female vocals are just fine. Please, no profanity or uncleared samples. They offer a non-exclusive contract (they re-title your song & you keep the copyright). Broadcast quality needed, but excellent-sounding home recordings should be okay. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by November 5, 2008. TAXI #S081105DAThe song is called "Another heartbreak", and can be found at www.myspace.com/dwightcaseyIt's my first year with TAXI, and so far I only received rejections up to this point, and thought about quitting. But, it has to be a forward somewhere if you hang on, isn't it?

I'd say you got the forward because of the targeting aspect so you definitely earned it. Cool track. Good work and here's to many more.Dave
