First Rally... a "fork in the road" experience

Thanks to all you fellow Taxi members for making my first Rally so memorable, tipsy and sleepless! The 3am jam sessions, rooftop gatherings, 5-hour session (our vocal session with Jennifer lasted 3 hours longer than scheduled and turned out to be an incredibly supportive bonding experience!)Until a week ago, I didn't even know what Taxi was - and have been a late bloomer when it comes to musical ability and songwriting. My songwriter instructor in LA suggested to the class that we check it out, and it turned out to be amazing. I've been to a lot of non-music conventions, and have yet to experience this level of camraderie and shared passion for creating magic through music. The producer Michael Lloyd summed it up in his panel... saying we might encounter these "fork in the road" moments and either stay the course or veer off and perhaps discover something more meaningful. The past weekend has encouraged me to take a different path (from my corporate job of ten years) and pursue my dream of sharing stories through music and lyrics.
