First Song Ever To Make The Grade :-)

Well I left Taxi for a year after several rejections on every song that I would send in. Took some time to soak in all of the critique information and tried for a year to better my music both vocally, lyrically, and production as well. I am super excited to report that my very first submission of the year was forwarded!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY..... My song (Breathless) was forwarded onto the listing below. I am so happy that the folks at Taxi gave me such great advice and constructive critiques. My song is playing on my taxi page as well.

They need "sweet and sincere" songs (ala Brett Dennen, Jason Mraz, Josh Rouse, Regina Spektor) that would work well for a ROMANTIC-COMEDY camping scene. QUOTING THE COMPANY: "Songs CAN cross the line from Singer-Songwriter into LIGHT Rock or Indie Rock, but ABSOLUTELY need to sound MODERN AND CURRENT. NO Country hybrids, Southern Rock or Electro elements. Instrumentation should sound organic, not midi-ish or quantized. ORIGINAL songs only, NO COVERS." Way to go Salt! I got my first forward of the year today as well. It's an awesome feeling. I totally agree with the advice to get involved on this board. It's helped me a ton. I got sidetracked last year due to major surgery but now I'm so happy to be back. I also find TAXI TV extremely helpful. Keep working hard and learn from everyone you can. Most imporantly - write, submit, forget
