Re: Four Forwards recently !
very good work Hector...I love your horn voicing particularly on Inner Spirit and of course the rhythm sections ! Good luck with the forwards.
Btw..are you aware that you can simply "untick" a box so as to prevent your catalog of music from being 'available for download' to everyone as it is now? ( you might want to ask the guys in Tech support at taxi to talk you through that formality.
Congratulations of those forwards.
best to you
Lucis
ps. Would you listen to my song "your Word's Your Wand" ...and let me know if I am correct in calling it a Rhumba? My sounds are more 'contemporary'/ synthesised including the horns...but I work at making them sound natural to fool most ears.

Oh dear Chuck,
Thank you so very much indeed for your Bravo.
Ok; the secret ? My Friends and Musicians. We worked hard and we worked long, and my Wife at the time was a tremendous support to all our very active musical passion.
Here are some Photos to show you how it happened.
I gratefully accept your good luck for my Instrumental : " Samba for you ".
Take care. Blessings, Hector

Re: Four Forwards recently !
Dear Lucis,
Your Comment is very interesting, from more reasons than one.
Thank you for your Compliment regarding my Song "Inner Spirit".
Ok; the download button. Yes, I thought about this. I thought that I am more than willing to share my Music here with all the TAXI Members, and it does not matter because all my Songs have a Copy Right anyway.
Am I wrong ? Please, tell me more.
Ah, your Ruma/Rhumba Song called : "Your Word's your wand". Oh, I love it. Are you the Singer ? Is "Lucis" a male name ?
I am so much fond of Irish Music and Irish Musicians.
The feeling of your Song is very much Rumba indeed. At first, I thought that the Tempo was a wee bit too slow. And that the sensual feeling of Dance was not passionate enough.
Having said that, the way that you sing is ... oh so charming, in that way when a Male have irresistible charm.
Next, what I really like about your Song, is precisely this "Pop Rhumba", as you called it.
You excelled at mixing the two Genres. Well done !
Finally, here is a treat especially for you, enjoy !

Re: Four Forwards recently !
Y E S !!!
I have another Forward, and with it another lovely ... Certificate.
But they chose the Song :
- "Flowers of Brazil" (not : "Samba for you")
You may want to listen to it here;
http://www.taxi.com/E-2013-1844
Catherine told me that I was going to have Five Forwards, ... so shall I change the tittle of this Topic, lol
Take care everyone, and Michael. Thank you.

Re: Four Forwards recently !
Man oh man, Hector, this is some really superb work. I especially like Inner Spirit. It conjures up, but in a very original way, some of my favorite jazz musicians and band leaders like Oliver Nelson, Miles, Herbie Hancock, and Gil Evans, maybe a bit of Horace Silver too. The orchestrations were excellent, as was the recording quality. And the other musicians were fantastic.
It makes me never want to touch another MIDI instrument!
Good luck with getting these pieces placed, although I don't think it will take a lot of luck.
If you're going to the Rally, I'll look forward to meeting you!
Best wishes,
Richard

Re: Four Forwards recently !
Dear Richard,
We are so touched by your Visit and your Appreciation, an appreciation that is very interesting because not later than yesterday Hector was telling me precisely about the fantastic Professional Jazz and Latin and Afro Cuban Musicians he used to work with in the past.
He is not here today, but I promise to ask Hector more details.
All I know is that it is fabulously expensive ! At the time Hector had a generous Wife called Emilie who happened to be very lucky with Shares and things like that. And before that Hector had received an inheritance.
As you know, more money brings more money, so the many successes on stage also permitted to produce and realize even more ambitious Projects.
And the Songs here :
- "Pasadena Cha Cha"
- "My Pueblo"
- "Inner Spirit"
- "Serenity"
- "Samba for you"
Are the results of these superbly Professional recordings. (There are Photos here, on the other Pages)
"Flowers of Brazil" was taken by a very beautiful and talented Brazilian Singer called : Fabiana Passoni for her CD : "Naturalmente". Hector wrote 5 Songs for this CD.
He also writes for another Female Artist called Ellisete, she lives in Israel.
Hector does not work with Professional Musicians any more but it has a well equipped Home Studio with quality Keyboards, etc.
Here below, if you click on the Link in the Signature, it will lead you to be able to listen to his latest CD called : "Desert DREAMS". (the Music comes automatically, the CD cover can be seen in the Photos).
Produced and conceived by me, Catherine Armant. I am his Fiançée.
All that to say, that thanks to TAXI, thanks to the Internet, thanks to new Technology, (I compose Music with my Mac, for instance), thanks to this Forum, (we learn so much from each others here), we CAN compose Music without the necessity of a fortune in terms of money.

Re: Four Forwards recently !
I am back, as promised, with Hector more details.
Hector explained to me that he played and recorded his Music Compositions with :
- Raul Pinera, Percussion, from Cuba
- Serafin Aguirar, Jazz Trumpet
- Arturo Solar, Trumpet, from the North of Spain
- Sergio Pastora, Percussion, he played with Eric Clapton
- Lee Pastora, the twin Brother of Sergio Pastora
- Daniro Lozano, Flute, Pop Latin Jazz
- Frank Fontain, Saxophone and Flute
- Walter Valencuela, Congo Drum, from Colombia
- Roberto Hernandez, Bass, from Cuba
- Brendon Macmillan, Trombone and Orchestration
Hector says : "These World Class Musicians and Friends, I have the most respect for them. I was so lucky to have all of them in the same room, it was a God intervention. They are the best."
Hector adds : "They told me that I was a Musical Genius, but also ... a Bohemian. I need to discipline myself."

Re: Four Forwards recently !
Dear Robbie,
It is very nice to see you here today. Thank you for your Congratulations.
I listened to your Instrumental : "Dancing Through Time". And I love is so !
It is very very nice.
You were able to interpret something with a lovely sensibility, yet within the "simplicity" that we were asked for.
The Little Ballerina dances within your fingers with great pleasure. The Melody is varied and offers joy, as the Variations are inventive.
The few Stops along are charming.
And the Phrase of the Cello, woah, ... really something different and completely pleasant.
Now, you have to tell us that you had a Forward, ok ?
This particular Listing really rose our interest in its difficulty and difference.
