Quote:Guess I'm an old fart too...I used to have a razor for splicing."Splicing" is an old analog effect, children. Ya think YOU'RE old!? I took classes in recording engineering from the guy who INVENTED flanging and had the patent on it (or so he said). I enjoyed the studio environment until we had to align the 24-track tape deck (O.K., I guess I'm not THAT old! ). I decided then and there that I didn't want to be a "technician" type of recording engineer. --- Plus, this "flanger" dude couldn't find a punch-in spot on his own equipment. It took him 10 minutes where it would have taken me 10 seconds. I didn't think much of his musical/engineering abilities after that --- Ern
