For all you NON- keyboard players...

Post by AndyKotz » Sat Aug 18, 2012 6:05 pm

:!:
For every time you wished you could put together a sophisticated chord progression on the keyboard (i.e; piano or rhodes, etc.)...

I play the guitar and through sheer determination have become fairly adept at grabbing just about any chord and any extensions because of my jazz guitar background. That... and having played with some amazing keyboard players whom I always asked questions of... anyway...I just stumbled upon this: http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act ... s&cv=31341
I don't own it myself but it looked cool and may be a handy tool to have in the toolbox!

It looks very cool, but I chilled a bit down after reading the licence agreement:

---
3. The licensee is granted the right to modify, alter and include the material in their own non-commercial musical compositions.

4. The licensee is granted the right to modify, alter and include the material in their own commercial musical compositions on the condition that the licensee must be in possession of a valid license key and the following credit is included - "Includes samples from Grant Nelson's - Chordworx". Commercial exploitation without a valid license key will constitute an infringement of copyright.
---

Asking for credits like that, compromizes it for commercial productions, I think.

Yes Magne...

If you choose to use the WAV samples included. But it comes with MIDI chords and progressions where you can alter them and they become your own... I'd only be interested in the MIDI. I don't like sampled keyboard parts... because I change keys and tempo a lot.
