forum loser...( me )....vikki challange

Post by feaker » Tue Dec 02, 2008 9:54 am

I accepted miss vikki's challange to write a new song from scratch starting last Saturday.Had some suggestions for verb and volume. Implemented them. The reference in the song to "cj" is not our guy in our forum. For the record, I have only submitted one song so far "gassy Rudolph", so you know this is all a spoof. So, here is my two day project "forum loser"I keep trying I can never winAll my songs coming back againYou must be wrongAbout my songI keep thinking maybe it’s my timeA melody with a perfect rhymeYou hated itI feel like sh…….crapI’m a loser (twice)Friends on the forum thought that it kicked assI’ll get over it, time will passI’ll start anewWith help from youThis time I’ll make it you can bet the farmEven cj could not do it harmI bet he'll tryI’ll wipe my eyehttp://www.taxi.com/feaker

I wouldn't say "loser" at all Paul. I'm on a serious non-forward streak!!

paul, did stephen tell you what my real name was?bastard. him, not you, but yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah .....btw man, respectfully, I submit to you - that in forum terms, it's not you that's the loser.btw2, any chance your wife could get us both a beer?btw2.1 .... I sorta like this .... it's got a nice chord progression that sets the table for a decent heartbreak melody. it would get my vote for best laid back sorry 'tude ... btw4- sorry but that cj line just makes me chuckle ... someday, I'll tell ya about the kilroy was here movement that has spurned a new fad ... it's the FUcj pic session deal. even kevin bacon got in on it. how many of YOU guys have had kevin say FU to you?
Gave up guilt when I left the ol' school girl uniform behind. You know, cute little skirts and knee socks, nuns and rulers and all that.

hey you loser!!i dig the opening guitar, and i dig the chord progression/harmony man....and i dig the rest of the guitar--but am pissed you stole my theme song!!! i truly understand man...but SERIOUSLY, this is damned beautiful--kinda reminds me of neil young, very nice indeed, seriously again, if you change the words a bit, this is a WINNER. ok, now i've submitted at least 120+ times, and 3 (not one for about hell, i think it's my 1 year anniversary for a forward....really...so don't feel too bad. still, i love this tune pablo!! the plaintive guitar is a gem. and in your honor, i'll resubmit my mostly midi stab at the screeners, and it's pretty out there, but hell, took 10 minutes to write, and a week to produce--all because i was just plain pissed, here it is again, you brought back ah, such sweet memories--OF TODAY, WHEN I WAS AGAIN SLAMMED against the wall--yep.,..here's my sad/pissed tune, which i'm gunna rewrite someday, i kinda actually like it....http://www.taximusic.com/download/60769 ... k%20_2.mp3

Thank You Paul,YOU SAID IT SOOOO WELL!!Thought I heard Jon Anderson (Yes) singing in spots. Kick up the drums abit and put a little reverb on the backup vocals and drop them a teeny bit and you got my forward!! Love the progressions - and the ending ------------------------ well, I laughed ----I'm still smiling --- It takes alot to make me laugh!!!!Kitz

Holy cow, I expected to take a beating. This was a tough challenge. Two days isn't much time when you start with a blank slate. In the song "If" by bread there is a strange chord when they say "the words could never show". Always wanted to use it so I strumed it and started building around it. Goes back to "A" from there etc.Started with sappy lyrics and the song was starting to get very dull. Funny lyrics come quickly.Dave Love the new avatar. rudy is getting a makeover and will show soon.AnneI have never felt like a loser. The lyrics just went that way.cjI am so glad you had a chuckle after that reference. Critical is welcomed here big time especially when coupled with a sense of humor.beep beepYou are by far the best cheerleader here. Always there for all of us. You also know your stuff bud. Only got a couple more weeks in taxi. I have never used any on the services (submitting songs, rally etc)warrenThe guitar in the intro is a line 6 setting called "swell". It is very difficult to use. It gets out of control very fast. There is a hiss associated with it and i bet it could be EQ'd out. Don't know how.Yes, I thought of you when I wrote the lyrics. Gotta scoot, will comment on your song later.KitzI used only a metrodome as drums unfortunately. Didn't think the song had any redeeming qualities and was only thinking "quicky"I can't believe you picked up on the lack of reverb on the harmony. I got lazy there.Glad you smiled. That was my intention. Don't know John anderson?IBY Surprises don't come often for this ole guy. Yawl made my morning. I am off to phy thearapy for a frozen shoulder of all things. My arm will not lift high enough to play my acoustic, but i can still slide the electric in there. I guess it can be repaired.thanks you very muchsincerelyPaul

hey Paul, you should change the lyrics to this so it's more universal because this just might be your best song.BTW- I've had so many returns lately I was actually thinking of changing my forum name to Boomerang.
