Forward for 80's trailer cover of "Listen To Your Heart"

Post by VanderBoegh » Thu Jan 16, 2025 10:55 am

My co-writer and I (Gwendolyn) landed a forward for our reimagined cover of Rosette's awesome 80's song "Listen To Your Heart". I'd had this song in the works for YEARS, but never found the right female vocal to run with it. When this listing came around, I figured I just had to do it, so I called up Gwen and revived this old session. Teamwork makes the dream work!

REIMAGINED COVERS of POPULAR SONGS from the '80s are needed by an EXCLUSIVE, LA-based Music Licensing Company that specializes in music for Movie Trailers, TV, Films, and Video Games.

This Company is looking for a wide range of reimagined covers in the general ballpark of the following references:

Quoting the Company: "We are currently looking for covers of pop, rock, hip-hop, and RnB Songs from the 80s era. Especially any takes on the Songs that have an interesting contrast (happy song done sad, fast song done slow, male/female vocal swap, etc)."

Please submit Covers of popular Songs from the '80s with a reimagined take! Your submissions should have creative arrangements, familiar melodies, and well-performed vocals. Due to the wide-ranging nature of the request, instrumentation may vary. Whichever approach you decide to take, your production should be modern and current, and any virtual instruments or samples you use should be high-quality and not dated-sounding. Engaging, well-performed vocals that bring something fresh to the Song will go a long way! Male or Female vocals could both work here.

NOTE: Many times, reimagined Covers of well-known Songs work best when the instrumentation and arrangement bring in a different emotion than the original. Feel free to get creative with the emotional context of your track, but we recommend sticking relatively close to the original lyrics and melody of the Song so it's instantly recognizable to listeners.

As long as it's not Roseanne. I'll never get that national anthem out of my ears. ;)
