Forward for Covid related listing
I was happy to get this forward for this listing. I did not intend this song to be about the virus, but I thought the sentiment was close. The song is called " We Can't Give Up On Us " and is on my Taxi page or Soundcloud. Lydia Salnikova did a beautiful job bringing out the emotion. She is very gifted. Thank you Lydia!

[LISTING EXPIRES TOMORROW]
Lots of HEARTFELT ADULT CONTEMPORARY SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a high-quality, boutique-sized Music Licensing Company!
They’re on the hunt to find several great, PIANO-DRIVEN Songs in All Tempos that could fit in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the references they gave us below:
"Gravity" by Sara Bareilles
“Superwoman ” by Alicia Keys
“Give You Up ” by Dido
“Winter” by Tori Amos
IMPORTANT Lyric Tip: They’re open to various lyrical themes, but they’re ideally seeking inspirational lyrics about hope, staying strong, getting through tough times, recovery, and taking care of others.
TAXI Tip: We strongly suspect these Songs will be used in the inevitable TV shows and movies about the Coronavirus Pandemic when we come out of "lockdown."
Please submit heartfelt A/C Songs with moving melodies, solid Song structure, and super memorable, infectious choruses. Stripped-down, piano/vocal performances can work for this request, but only if your Songs are really amazing! Be sure to have well-executed vocal performances.
Lyrics that avoid reference to specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity will likely be the most appealing to this client. You'd also be smart to not have lyrics that specifically say, "virus, COVID-19, Coronavirus," etc. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Broadcast Quality is needed.
The Licensing Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control the Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Monday, April 20th, 2020. TAXI # S200420HF

Re: Forward for Covid related listing
This is my second time in FORUM. During my first excursion I read comments for many hours. With this morning's visit #2 I finally listened to a song (yours) and understand how this song absolutely represents the specific dimensions of what is being requested for this ad. Your song forward makes perfect sense. Congratulations. It is a beautiful song and I love that that it is an uncomplicated, deeply heartfelt piano/vocal arrangement. Bottom line is it complies to the ad specifications, intended or not, and my lesson here is to pay very close attention to ad detail, and that a good song presentation doesn't necessarily require full on production to secure a forward. I hope you find a placement. Meanwhile I intend to place it on my personal playlist! "We Can't Give Up On Us" is a lovely song. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks Tom. I hope the " roll " keeps rolling
Thank you Nancy and welcome to Taxi ! It sounds like you have a good grasp on how these listings work. I usually read them over two or three times before I submit. But I have to admit that sometimes I send a song that I think might be close and it turns out to be rejected. So it pays to only send in what you think fits the listing. As much as I like to write " story " songs, I realize for film and TV they want " moment " songs. In other words, just one emotion and very universal. Anyway, thanks again for having a listen

Thank you SonicGreenhouse and Jay! I appreciate your comments. I submitted this song for 2 different " Covid " related listings. One of them forwarded it and the other rejected it, so it just goes to show you, keep submitting, because you never know..

Thanks Steve! I guess now is a good time to write these kind of songs. Like Micheal said, they are probably gearing up for many, many films about the virus down the road. Congrats on all your instrumentals. That is something that I can't do, so nice work.
Cheers
