Forward for Traditional Japanese listing

Post by superkons » Thu Jan 16, 2025 6:35 am

My tune "Tea Ceremony" was forwarded for the listing in question, and for those of you who know me, then you are familiar with the fact that doing traditional music from certain other countries is my cup of tea :)

"Please submit original instrumentals that authentically reflect the profound and elegant heritage of traditional Japanese music. Your submissions can have a range of moods, from serene and meditative to celebratory, melancholic, and mystical. Japanese instrumentation like the koto, shamisen, shakuhachi, biwa, and taiko drums, combined with distinctive textures from instruments like the hichiriki, ryuteki, and sho, will work best here. Your tracks should utilize traditional Japanese scales (such as the pentatonic In and Yo scales), dynamic layering, and expressive techniques like glides, vibrato, and subtle ornamentation to capture the depth and refinement of Japanese music. These tracks should evoke the beauty of Japanese landscapes, traditions, and storytelling, with a focus on acoustic authenticity. Subtle modern influences can be integrated to enhance the music, but please make sure the overall aesthetic and sound is very tradtional in nature. Live instrumentation is highly recommended! If you do decide to use any virtual instruments or samples, they need to be extremely realistic and have performances that sound like the real deal. Original compositions only, please!"

That's awesome, Marco! What kind of tea is it? Early Grey? Chamomile? Green? Black? Inquiring minds want to know, lol.

Thank you Jim! Head over to https://musicalwizardry.com/music, very first one in the list (I might need to remove that one and a few others that also got signed, at some point...)
