Congrats!!I was going to dispute as well but let it go, I will get it signed anyway.

Andre, I think if Michael knew that the screeners returned a Spanish guitar track from you, he'd flip out!
You could very easily supply the company with an album. I thought you were a sure win for this listing. But like you said, you shouldn't have a problem signing it elsewhere.

Thanks Erik but just don't want to bother and I have before on other genres and won. Yes I have already signed a 12 track album with a major Library a year ago.I will keep adding to my folder for the next album.

I totally understand why Casey's didn't get a forward at first before the dispute and I said the reason why on my first post on this thread. Casey's track is good and doesn't sound like the reference track.

Thanks. But I think the prevailing opinion, here and with Taxi is it was a track that belonged on a playlist with those reference tracks, even if it didn't sound extremely close to a ref track. The listing did say "a wide range of scenes" so I think it cast a wider net.

Can you post a link to the track you submitted? (Very optional).

Best,
:D Casey

Hey Andre
I listened very carefully to your track. Very nice!! But I think the difference between our submissions is the reference tracks, especially the first 2, have a hard driving groove and mine does as well. Yours does not have the groove I *think* they were after. Which means it may be a great track that doesn't fit the listing. HUGE CAVEAT: I have the benefit now of hearing my forward and your return, knowing the results. I can't say for sure what my opinion would have been if I heard yours before I knew the result. That's why on this thread, I didn't say whether mine was F or R while I gathered opinions. I think human nature doesn't allow us to be completely unbiased once we have that information. :D Just keep on making great music and placing tracks in good homes!

:) Casey

This has been recorded very well, the strumming guitars and lead. I listened a couple of times and what I was missing was a "flow and ebb" to the melody. I think the others were right in the edit points, because it gives the listener a chance to "exhale," maybe where its hits the 5 chord, stop, then reintroduce your material. As a guitarist, I find it helps me to write a melody on a different instrument and establish a solid line, (maybe a trumpet-- in this case). Then you can use this in your piece to drive home your melody. You've got a great recording technique in this!
