Forward to A Major NY Ad Agency

Post by mattharveymusic » Wed Nov 30, 2011 2:30 am

Had this track for a while (was written before I'd joined/heard of Taxi) and submitted it on a whim to this listing, so it's always nice to wake up and hear it's been forwarded! Still think it's a long shot, but happy that it's one the NY people can decide! Track is 'Perfect' on my TAXI page, listing below. :D

Major New York Ad Agency U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needs Mid-to-Uptempo CONTEMPORARY, MODERN, HIP, POSITIVE, SONGS for a series of National TV Spots for a huge telecom company. Quoting the agency: "Please give us songs that are emotionally Upbeat and Feel Good. KEY LYRIC THEMES we need are: [being or getting] together, being happy, smiling/smiles, having fun, and making/having connections. Generic/Universal themes that are RELATED to those concepts are also in play." Give them FULL-LENGTH SONGS that are current-sounding ROCK, INDIE ROCK, SINGER/SONGWRITER, NEO-BLUES, or maybe even a song that's a LITTLE BIT quirky but VERY catchy. A simple guitar, piano, ukulele/vocal version COULD work for this. So could a full production. It's IMPORTANT that your submissions sound AUTHENTICALLY like an ARTIST/BAND and NOT like a production music library track. MALE and FEMALE VOCALS are both OKAY for this. The bar for this is going to be HIGH, so songs that sound like a one-man band using a stiff, obviously MIDI-driven band in a box rhythm track aren't going to work. Give your SONG a title that makes them think you're a cool Indie artist-DO NOT title it like you would for a music library pitch. Faded endings are needed for this. This is DIRECT-to-the-Agency, so YOU'LL KEEP 100% of this deal with NO publisher splits! Broadcast Quality is needed (excellent home recordings are fine). You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition rights. The FEE for this will be at LEAST $10,000, and COULD go higher for songs that are incredibly perfect! Please include LYRICS! If you ARE chosen for this TV spot, the Ad Agency will contact you DIRECTLY. Please submit one to three SONGS online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS. NO FULL CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18th at 4PM , (PST). TAXI Listing #Y111118SS

To my ears....

A beautiful Love Epiphany song....Not confessing Love but realizing it himself...In the moment and believable....
Well done and I hope you get it.... ;) :D

All the Best...
