Forwarded...14 MONTHS later...(update...)

Post by tedsingingfox » Fri Jan 16, 2009 9:27 am

First off...wooHOO!!My right-hand-only/solo piano version of "Song for the Quilt" has just been offered a deal with a company based in the UK...and this is directly from a TAXI submission made in November of 2007...and forwarded in Dec.First, America. Now, Europe. Next, the world!!!!! Bwah Ha Ha hahahahaaaa!!I can only cross my fingers in the hopes that this link works...{LATE Edit. bigbluebarry put up a link for me...scroll down two posts. thanks, triple-B.}I wanted to post this specifically as an example for some of the "noobs" who've been asking about "how long?" and "what do I do now?" There are SO many of y'all showing up on the boards and getting your first forward(s) so quickly, it's nearly impossible to keep up these days. But this is a fairly typical time-line between getting a forward and hearing back from the listing party. write...submit...repeat...write...submit...repeat...Then, let me also throw out a quick-but-heartfelt:Thank you, GrandMothers. Thank you, GrandFathers. Thank you so much. And thanks to all of Y'ALL, as well. Your kindness, your generosity, your support has literally helped me to alter the course of my life. In the best possible direction. I'm so grateful.XOXOXTed

Very beautiful piece, Ted. So many dynamics in such a simple arrangement - and with just a single hand! You refer to this as a the "piano version". Do you have a more orchestrated version of this? I definitely hear big possibilities on this.Patience finally paid off, eh? That's encouraging news to those of us still waiting for that elusive "first deal".Congrats!Steve
