Forwarded for Classic Singer/Songwriter Song. Booyah!

Post by greggo » Sat Sep 20, 2014 6:41 am

Howdy! This tune that I worked on with Ethan Okamura and Dean Taylor, "Love is the Way the Moonlight Feels" was forwarded to an Independent Record Label/Music Licensing Company for the following listing:

CLASSIC SOUNDING SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with MALE VOCALS are needed by a well-respected Independent Record Label with a boutique Music Library that's actively pitching to both Films and TV shows. Give them Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the stylistic ballpark of artists like Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, etc. They're looking for reflective, well-written Songs that have a timeless sound in terms of melody, structure, and overall vibe. Your vocal performance should be intimate, with a delivery that's honest and believable. Do not copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Universal lyrics will work best, but your lyric themes should be consistent with topics and themes found in this genre. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, etc. This is a NON-EXCLUSIVE agreement with the Licensing Company, with a 50/50 split on all sync fees. You'll keep 100% of your Master and Copyright, and all of the backend royalties. This means you keep all the songwriting AND publishing! If they're impressed with your song, and want to add it to their catalog, you may also be considered for their Record Label's roster! Any artist deals made with the Record Label will be negotiated on an individual basis. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Composition rights. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by the Owner of the Label, and must be received no later than Monday, August 18, 2014. TAXI #S140818SS

Here's the tune and thanks taxi!!

Congrats Gregg,

You and Dean have done some nice work - but when you bring in the BIG gun - Ethan - than there's no stopping you. :!: Great song - really nice production, and I could listen to Ethan sing all night long. Best of luck to you all. :-)

Cheers,
Scott

Congrats guys :)

Ethan's voice is one of the most dreamy, yet real, I have ever heard - and it's perfect for this song :D

Hope you nail it !
