Free Online Songwriting Course with Pat Pattinson

Hey!

My wife alerted me to a site called www.coursera.com that lists TONS of free online courses from colleges all over the USA and I signed up for a 6-week songwriting course that's being given by Pat Pattinson. Find details here: https://www.coursera.org/course/songwriting

I have read one of Pat Pattinson's lyric writing books (as recommended by Taxi) so I figure it will be a good investment of my time.

They have a number of other courses that also look interesting... all free! I also signed up for a Digital Sound Design course.

Anyone else heard about this?

Thank you for the nudge on this Mark - I just went to read about it, and have signed up for 'Songwriting' too

I also went the whole hog and signed up for 'Intro to Music Production' too, also from Berklee... like I don't have enough to do !! Still it's only 6 weeks for them both, and they are running at the same time.

Thanks again - living in Ireland I'd never have found out about this opportunity without your heads up

Thanks for the links. Interesting reading. I'd never heard of this before either. I think it's pretty amazing that these opportunities are out there.
