Thanks again geo, ibanez, and mazz. You all have been especially generous with your help on this one and it has absolutely made the song/mix better.I'm hearing the same issues as everybody else with the ending, but I'm not gonna touch it and here's why: I've been getting a lot of these last minute, "Help--can you please send me a [fill in the blank genre] ASAP?" and have learned that it makes sense to only put so much work into them because the music supers will do a quick listen and, if they want to use the song, will tell me EXACTLY what to "fix" on it. Often they'll only use the middle or first 30 seconds of the song anyway so it's quite possible that the ending won't matter at all!So...although your observations are all valid--and echo my own--I'm now waiting to hear back before I put in any more time...I'm already on the next tune. If the song is not used, I'll either remix it to my own taste and pitch it to somebody else, or leave in "on the shelf" 'til I'm inspired or get another "Help..." message.Vince

It's good to put your best foot forward but working on spec can be a killer. Sounds like you've found a good balance between tweaking it to death and doing enough to give them an idea of what they want and what they don't want (often the more important of the two, since sometimes these folks don't speak "music" the same way a musician does and they only know it when they hear it!!).Good luck!!Mazz

Cam,Liquid Sax is very easy to use. It's best for piecing together solos, as you have a bunch of stock phrases that you mix and match. You can change the existing note values and durations of the phrases, but can't enter your own. Check it out here: http://www.ueberschall.com/en/products/ ... ne.htmlFor simple horn charts where I need to play specific lines, I use Garritan Jazz and Big Band.V>

Cool bass work vince, as a bass player I think it's pretty convincing. Godd luck with this!
