got my first track signed to a very difficult library

Post by jnmorrison » Tue Jun 14, 2011 10:16 pm

Well - I knew if I just kept at it, eventually they would crack and take something!

I should mention that I have 25 other tracks signed at various other publishing houses, but this is the first with "A very critical company".

My co-writer had a bunch of stuff signed with them in the past 3 months or so - and they have all already been placed!!

Here's hoping!

Oh - track was "rolling through the city" you can hear it on my taxi page.
Although, the mix is a little more refined, and there is a slight intro on it now!

That is really great news!

(I think that the rules state that you are not supposed to mention any company names here on the boards. So you may want to edit your posrt)

Congrats! I hope you get a ton of placements.

Woo hooooo!!! Congratulations to you!! :D :D :D

(And yes, kc is correct-- you will want to remove the company name in your title and text...)

They've got a great track record for songs, and it's no "easy in" for them, so I wish you top success with your song placements!!!

Oh - really?
It wasn't a Taxi placement...ie: it was an unsolicited entry.
Seeing as they have an open submission policy I didn't think that it would break the rules of the forum.

I would never disclose any of my Direct from Taxi placements...

Huh - maybe I should re-read the rules.
EDIT: I re-read the rules and they said that we are not allowed to disclose the name or contact information of any Taxi related forwards. Since it was signed completely outside of Taxi, I think I'm o.k.
That being said - if I get a pm in the next day or so from adin-I will certainly remove it.
2nd EDIT: I figured I'd just change it anyway...just to be safe.

best,
N

I think it's always better to be on the safe side. No reason to give anyone a chance to be mad at you. Plus, it makes people wonder which "very difficult library" you're talking about.
