Guitar players rule.
I want to congratulate all the gtr players that got forwarded for the ambient gtr listing.
I was going to do them individually, until I realized if I listened to them all and wrote congrat notes half my morning would be gone.
Good job to all. Glad to see so many past muster.
Best of luck.
Bruce

Agreed Bruce, congrats to all! Alas, I will not be joining this party. But the screener did have very complimentary things to say about my track, just stylistically off target. Good job all you git slingers!

Same here and ditto on the congrat's !
Mine was returned too.
Screener said it was one of his personal favourites, but off target...oh well.

I'd like to add a big thanks to those willing to post their forwards (and non-forwards) so we can hear examples. It's a fantastic tool to learn how to hit the listing target, especially for us new people around here.

I agree with Fred - thank you to all who post both return and forwards - in order for this section to be really useful, we newbies (and I suppose even veterans of Taxi) need to hear both sides of the coin to get a continuous and useful picture of what is acceptable and what isnt for each listing/genre etc.
Thank you again

Re: Guitar players rule.
I would also like to thank all those who shared both forwards and returns. My submission 'Since Past' was among those that didn't make the cut. Hearing all of the shared submissions shows me much regarding the very subjective nature of submissions getting forwarded. Disregarding being completely 'off the mark', one gets the impression that it's often a 'roll of the dice' as to whether something is forwarded or not. One might also get the feeling that if there was just a little more information in the listing that chances would be at least greater that one could provide something much closer to the vision. As it is, listings often are just vague enough to open many doors to creative latitude when actually something very specific is envisioned -- much more specific. I've observed a number of forwards that missed the mark on quite a few points and yet were forwarded. It's difficult to learn much from this other than keep 'rolling the dice' and hoping -- if one can justify the time and money.

As was mine (returned). But although it had guitar was a little more orchestral and "stringy". SHould have listened in that period to a little more Bill Frisell/ENo.
