As we enter 2007, for some reason I started looking back on all the things that have changed since I was a kid. (Yes, we DID have History in school back then)...When I was a kid:My doctor's office consisted of the doctor and his wife who kept the books. Now, my doctor's office has more people working there than Macy's.A call to another area code was a long-distance call and a very big deal.There was one TV in the house with 3 network channels and maybe 2 UHF re-run stations. Having a Color TV was also a big deal- I remember a friend who got one and invited all the kids over to watch The Wizard of Oz in color.We used to have to get dressed up to travel by plane or Amtrak-type train or just to go to "the city" (Manhattan).When you bought an album, you chose whether you wanted Stereo or Mono. Stereo cost more.If you didn't like a song on an album, you generally suffered through it since we couldn't just "click" to the next track. And why did those 45's have the big hole that required an adapter (which we always lost) ?A music video was a band lip-syncing their latest song on a TV variety show. Casey
