Re: Hard work pays off
I had a vocal song on the Young & The Restless for just under 1 min. I won't see the $$ until the quarter after Oct. but the publisher who places songs there regularly said it would be in the ballpark of $1,300 (that's total, writer's & publisher's). I had several instrumental cues that totaled a little over 2 min. on let's Make A Deal and my checks totaled a little less than $600 which would have made the total around $1,200.
it's all pretty confusing to me, but I hope you do get a check for 4k . . . that would be cool!

Yeah that would be nice but I think what you described is more in line.billg1 wrote:I had a vocal song on the Young & The Restless for just under 1 min. What I'm hearing is that soaps tend to reuse anything that gets used, Bill, so your track could end up doing very well for you, as soaps don't update their music as often as primetime shows.billg1 wrote:I had a vocal song on the Young & The Restless for just under 1 min.
