Re: Having My Good Times with You - Want to Co-Wri

Hey Walt,Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I think you've made a good start into the process. It is a little hard to hear the guitar, so getting a sense of the melody vs chords is difficult at points. I felt the melody, as it is a present, kind of hits a bottle neck at the...There's a light on in your living room, music's playing...point. The last part, 'music's playing' seems unnecessary for the melody - unless you add some more changes to the chords. Same section in vs 2 could have a similar change (again for the melody etc as is).The chorus melody is very similar to the verse - not sure of the genre - but you might want to look at a lift into the chorus - either change the verse melody down, or find a new chorus melody idea that gives it that lift.HTHBTW - You seem to have a reasonable handle on the beginnings here. I'd suggest you continue - have you got some other method of recording? i.e. multi-track, so you can play first, then sing, so as to get the best out of both etc. That's not to say - don't colaborate - but don't let it stall the process.Cheers,Scott
