heads up for Rally attendees on a budget

Ha ha had lunch at the Rally hotel yesterday - shared a burger, shared a bowl of soup, had a carafe of tea each... cost - $34. No worries. Go out of the hotel, turn to the right... find a Subway. Go to the end of the block, find a nice little internet cafe where it's $5 to get online for 1.2 hour & they serve breakfast, lunch, etc at reasonable prices. Across the street from here is McDonalds. If you turn left when leaving the hotel, there's also a Denny's two or three blocks away.Otherwise, the beds are heavenly and the air is filled with excitement.See you soon!cheersHummin'bird

Thanks, Hummingbird...I was wondering that myself. I'm here also but have yet to actually see many with dots (except Matt). Although, I couldn't hang much last night....only stay until about 10:30pm for the Open Mic 'cuz I think the jet lag was burning me.As far as cost, yeah...a bit much. I don't mind paying for service and I know LA is QUITE a bit different than Reedsville, PA (LOL) but those prices are a bit steep!Shall we meet at Subway this evening? Would love to hang out with other forum members. Saw Dave this morning on the panel...great stuff! Ralph Murphy was fantastic!Very cool so far...definitely worth the trip!oh...I will check back here for responses but if none, give me a call if there's another gathering.
